Happy Birthday Madison! Madison is turning 1 years old this weekend. She is the sweetest little girl and a girly-girl at that! The best part of her session was watching her smash her cake (I’ll post a sneak peek of that once I proof them). Thank you soo much B and K for letting me capture your little girl turning one!

Lisbeth: I'm getting more and more excited!

Mandy: These are SO darling Amy! You always capture the most perfect innocence in all of your little subjects.

Kacy: My beautiful daughter, I loooove the pics!

Lisa: Great job Amy... she is a cutie!

Meet my sweet little 2 year old! We enjoyed a trip out to the island this past weekend and I grabbed a few shots of my little sweetie pie…

This picture speaks so many words to me. It is amazing how such a little miracle of life can fit so perfectly into a Hero’s helmet. I can imagine how proud Baby M will be of the Hero his Father is and I hope that he looks back on this picture when he is older and smiles. Perhaps little M will follow in Daddy’s footsteps….

Thank you to the Mom and Dad for letting me capture these memories!

I can’t get enough of them, here are a few more favs! I’d also like to thank my friend, Jessica, for coming along with me on this shoot to help with the babies! You were an awesome help!

Lisa: i love the little bear image.. sweet

Meet the M&M twins, Michael and Madison. Only 7 days old and all of 4 and 5 pounds! Pictures can be soo deceiving, they were the tiniest little peanuts and absolutely sweet as a pea! They were absolute angels during their session and slept mostly the entire 5 hours of their shoot. Thank you so much J and M for letting me capture these memories. LOTS of favorites from this session, here is a sneak peek from the first few that I have proofed. Check back for more entries of these little sweethearts!!

Jane Photo: What incredibly beautiful twin work, Amy.

Mandy: These are just so sweet. How lucky are these parents to have you photographing their little ones! I love the pea pods! goodness.

Lisa: Gorgeous images Amy!

Lisa: Oh my, love love love the two pea in a pod.... just gorgeous!

Met up with a fellow photog friend, Lisa at a gorgeous field out in the boonies near a pretty fabulous abondoned home that I am definitely going to have to go back and take a look at!!! This place was gorgeous! The bugs were pretty nasty that day though. (You’ve gotta love Florida) Lisa borrowed my girls to model and I was finally able to meet her sweet little girl, Annabella. I jump at the opportunity to have others photograph my kids, it’s fun to have a different perspective. I literally pulled the camera out for a quick second and only snapped 3 shots, but I just love this shot of Annabella. She has the prettiest eyes and eyelashes I think I’ve ever seen!!! I can’t wait to actually get to photograph her one of these days! Thank you Lisa for a fun day out! It was a total blast! And I’m soo anxious to see the shots you got of my lil babies!!

Lisa: wow...super macro. That is an awesome close up. I don't know how you do it.

Shawna: These are simply precious! Are you lovin' your new marco lens or what!

Jane Photo: These are so beautiful! Love your newborn work.

Kelly: Love those lips!

On the average week, I will get around 10-20 emails asking me about my Pea Pod prop. Hopefully, this will help my fellow photogs. I will tell you that there is a HUGE craze for this item and they are hard and few to come by. It was a metal boat from ROSS that I painted green. Not every ROSS store carries them and not every state has a ROSS. Its not the news you were hoping to hear, but I still hope this helps!!! I would keep an eye open for any type of metal boat or item that you could paint green and use it as a pea pod. ROSS, TJMAXX, are all great places to keep your eyes open for them!

And what’s a post with out a picture? My latest little SWEET PEA, 11 days old.

Dee: JUST BEAUTIFUL -- compliments, Amy! Ciao, Dee

Mandy: I just do NOT know how you do it girl. These babies look perfect. You are giving Anne Geddes a run for her money. (and I used the 85 on the pictures from my blog today)

Sarrah: LOVE this!!! I had my friend in OK go to two ross's looking for it no luck. :( I am still looking. I love the added little hat! It is perfect!!!

Beth in Michigan: Hi! Found you on a google search and I too have this prop. I was wondering if you have a trick for keeping it upright? Each time I have tried using mine, I have balance issues with it. Do you have a trick you'd be willing to share? thanks! And your images are beautiful! Beth in Michigan :)

Tammie: amy, could you please tell me what color of green you used to paint your pea pod? Also, where can i purchase a hat/blanket like the one you are using? Thanks

Amy: I painted it with Valspar spray paint from lowes, I think it was pistachio... I knitted the blanket from yarn purchased at Joanne's, they don't carry it any longer I don't think.

brenda: It looks like I am a year late looking for this prop - ouch! Can you share where you got the adorable hat? Thanks so much. Your work is beautiful!

Lucy: Hi I am an RN and I am presenting an educational poster on SIDS awareness for parents. It will be displayed at our Baby Fair. I absolutely LOVE your pea pod photos. Could I use them on my poster? I would include a thank you for you and since you are nearby it might be exposure for your business. This project is entirely educational. Thank you for your consideration.

Get ready for photo overload, I love my newborns! Meet Ava, 11 days old. She was absolutely perfect for me and slept the entire time. I really enjoyed having her model more hats for me, isn’t she too cute?!!

This beautiful “helmet” newborn hat below was made by my photographer friend, Heather Bauers. If you are in the Colorado Springs area and looking for an amazing and fun photographer, check her out!

Lisbeth: You never cease to amaze me! I'm so looking forward to Mady's 1 year session ;)

Dee: Amy Jo, you are SOO good! Surely your clients love you for the wonderful memories you capture. Ciao, Dee

Lisa: wow.... crazy busy you've been. Love the images you've captured. You are awesome!

Lots of maternity sessions lately, I’m anxious to meet all these little ones! I had such a great time with this beautiful couple. They are expecting a baby boy, whom will carry on the IV generation of his father’s name and is the first grandbaby on both sides of the family. At 34 weeks along, they are getting really excited for D day. I was very honored to capture these memories for you! Here is a sneak peek of some of my favs.
