Meet Harper (Don’t you just love her name?), 6 days old and welcomed into this world at 9 pounds 6 ounces! I could just kiss on those cheeks all day long. Harper reminds me so much of my baby girls as they were nearly 9 pounds at birth as well. It was a lot of fun today getting my baby girl fiz. Harper is my second newborn girl of 2010 compared to the 6 boys that came in a row! It was such a joy getting to meet her and her family! Thank you so very much for letting me capture these memories! harper, you are absolutely precious!

Hi…. It’s Me

February 25, 2010

It’s not often that I step on the other side of the lens but I had fun tonight shooting my kiddies and thought I would join in the fun. I picked up another prop… the brick ‘flooring/wall’ and wanted to test it out before my upcoming newborn sessions for this weekend and next week. When you get to know me, I’m very laid back, very patient, happy, friendly… I’m a “people-person”. I have met so many wonderful people amongst this journey and it has been an incredible experience. Thank you so much for inviting me into your lives and letting me capture your precious memories! It’s an honor!

OK, so this is me trying to be serious (hard for me to do as I always have a smile on my face)

This is me doing the classic wind blowing through my hair shot while trying to be serious (lol)

Candice: love the self portraits! 10 second timer, remote, or helpful husband :) *I've used all three*

Oh the joys of turning ONE! There is so much to celebrate! Sitting, crawling, walking, talking – 12 months simply fly by and your baby has grown up so much just before your eyes.

Stacey Purvis: I absolutely love the bathtub shot, I'm so glad you caught that moment :)

Lisa: Oh my ... that is a mess! What sweet memories!

I know I say it over and over again, but it is simply amazing getting to meet so many families, especially during such an amazing time in their life. Capturing the newness of a newborn baby is my absolute passion. Baby ‘C’ is all of seven days old and just over seven pounds. He was a perfect model for me today. Here is a sneak peek of his session. Thank you so much A and J for letting me capture these memories. Such a pleasure to meet you. You have a beautiful family!

Love,
Amy

Lisbeth: I am loving the new floor!!!

helena: i love this rock bowl prop. where did u get it?

Amy: it's a planter purchased from Joanne's.

I was so thrilled to see this family again! It has been 6 months since their first session with me and Molly is celebrating her first birthday. Molly, you are such a beautiful little girl. I think we really captured your sweet beauty today. These are going to be some of my absolute favorite images! Thank you so much for letting me be apart of it all. By the way Molly, you have two amazing big sisters! What a lucky girl you are! Happy Birthday!
Love,
Amy

This adorable hat came from etsy. You can find them here.

Naz: These are awsome pics, baby looks so content, abd good pics of Zoe and Julliet.

Jane: Elite called. They want their models back.

I simply adore capturing raw moments, unposed, unplanned…. just your kids being themselves. Your child is so full of imagination, they find entertainment in the smallest of things. They have so much joy in their hearts. It’s simply priceless to capture these raw moments and to look back on them for years to come. These images bring joy to my heart as I know my girls were having the most joyous time playing in my bedroom curtains.
