Almost two weeks post surgery and feeling great! I drove today for the first time and am so glad to be feeling a little bit ‘back to normal’. I can’t wait to get back into photographing sessions! My next newborn baby girl session was welcomed into the world yesterday and I am soo excited for her family! I can’t wait to meet them and capture these precious memories! So what would a post be without some pictures… some past favorites of a baby girl that I have not shared with you yet. This is the little princess from all those awesome pull back shots I posted previously. Now you can see how they turned out!

Enjoy,

Proud to say that her Daddy serves in the United States Coast Guard. My hubby too served in the Coast Guard and this has such a special meaning to me and this family!

Her precious big brothers!

Lisa: aww... sweetness!

Andrea: Another amazing job! I love all the props you used, though I think the bed shot is my favorite.

Tammy: Hi Amy, I think your photography is amazing! I was wondering where you got the wood floor underneath the peapod? I have been looking everywhere for one and I can only find it coming from Australia!

Amy: Thanks Tammy! It's a bamboo desk floor mat. Purchased from ABC distributors

To me, there is nothing more beautiful than pregnancy. Growing a new life inside of you is simply amazing and beautiful. All moms should embrace that beauty and capture it forever. A great joy is coming for this family, I can’t wait for them!

A mother’s joy begins when new life is stirring inside… when a tiny heartbeat is heard for the very first time, and a playful kick reminds her that she is never alone.

As for me, I am doing well. Getting better and better each day. It’s all uphill from here. I can not wait to get back into shooting sessions again. I’ve been busy editing and catching up on my sessions leading up to the surgery. Placing orders and making deliveries. Thank you everyone for your well wishes!!

Brandi Combs: I totally agree Amy, pregnancy is beautiful! When I was pregnant & people would ask me how I was, my reply was always the same "wonderful, I am carrying one of God's greatest gifts"! Of course I didn't look as beautiful as your model, but I felt beautiful! These shots definitely need to be in a magazine, or hanging in an OB's office!!!

Yvonne: She's beautiful and you captured this time in her life wonderfully!

Andrea: These are just beyond amazing. Beautiful light and mama. PS, I promise I did not copy your wording.

My wonderful hubby has set up my computer next to my ‘recovery’ chair so that I can get back to following up on messages, etc… Today was a bit rough but I am doing much better now.
And as I’ve been getting a lot of rest lately, I thought it would be fitting to share this sweet yawn from baby Lily…. too cute!

heather Bauers: I hope the rest and recovery goes super fast for you!

Yvonne: I adore the sibling portrait! Perfect in every way!

Lisa: That is the perfect sibling image! Sweet!

As most of my clients know, I underwent surgery Friday and am home safely today and doing well. For the next four weeks, I will be taking time off to recover and get well. I will be resuming sessions mid April and will be returning with a filled schedule. During this time I will be completing my client’s galleries and getting caught up in the office work. I will be monitoring my emails and phone calls so please fill free to continue to contact me with questions and inquiries. Thank you so much for your well wishes and support during this time. I will continue to post sneak peek images to the blog as to not lose any of my loyal blog followers. Perhaps even share a little bit about myself and my family.

Thank you so much!
~Amy

Stephanie: Get well soon!!!

Heather Hare: Get well soon and take care of yourself!!

Megan Morris: Our prayers are with you for a speedy recovery. Get well soon!

Lisa: Hope you have a quick recovery. Wishing you well!

Kristi: Hope you are recovering better than expected!

A gorgeous mommy and a gorgeous family! I can not wait to meet this little guy in July! More from this session can be found on my facebook fan page Thank you so much for letting me be apart of such a special time in a growing family!
Two for a sneak peek… enjoy!

Finally, finally, finally got to meet with this amazing family! Baby Lily has been through so much in her first three weeks of life and I am so thankful that I was able to meet with her and her family to capture these precious memories… Now it is ALL ABOUT THE PINK :) Lily has two amazing big brothers that love her dearly. She is three weeks old today and still a little peanut. It took us a while to get her to sleep, but awake or sleepy, we captured some amazing moments that I am excited to share with her family!
About a month ago, I attending one of my best friend’s baby shower. The card I gave her was an Anne Geddes card with her famous and classic “newborn as a bouquet of flowers” and it was a random joke that I would take that picture of her baby girl, it was something I always wanted to do but didn’t have the props to execute it. Then when some of my blog readers came out of lurkdom, I got to chatting with a fellow photog and was even more inspired to do this shot as she had attempted it as well. A special thanks to my crafty mother-in-law who always comes to my rescue when I ask her to make me all sorts of things!!! We have fun together doing it and I learn a lot on how to be more crafty. We made the flower hat ourselves, purchased some tissue paper, and rafia… and these were the results!!! Something new… inspired by a classic shot by one of the greatest that will ever be, Anne Geddes!!!

Here is a sneak peek of Ms Lily in all her pink girly fun! Thank you soo much for welcoming me into your home D and S, it was a complete pleasure!

Her amazing big brothers, are they not absolutely the most charming little boys? so photogenic!

Lisbeth: And isn't the name Lily perfect for your first flower bouquet shot!!!! Perfection as usual!

Brandi Combs: How perfectly sweet! Love the new prop! =)

Jenny: I noticed your bouquet - beautifully done!!! Funny that you created a hat of Lillies for Lily - I did one for my brother's baby named Rose in a bouquet of roses!! You are awesome!!

Katie Hollis: I really think you are becoming the new Anne Geddes!

Logan was my very first ‘pea in a pod’ baby! He helped me start a wonderful concept and it has evolved so much over the last year. The pea pod is definitely one of my most requested images. I would love to have another baby just to be able to have this shot…. not really, but I wish I could have done with my babies. Anyhow, back to Logan… he is turning one!!!! I can’t believe how much he has grown. He is so completely precious and it was a complete blast seeing his family today!

Sneak peek, enjoy!

and a flash back to one year ago… my first pea pod baby! This set up has changed a lot, but how amazing my first model is turning a year old! Time flies!

Yvonne: Adorable images! Love to see how much he's grown over the past year. Such a miracle!

Wade Holt: Logan is my grandson. You do great work Amy.

Lisa: Still love'em little pea pod images. Sweet session downtown!

Sheri Mitchell: Love the pea pod. Where did you get it. My daughter and I have a studio in Kentucky and are always looking for unique ideas to photo newborns. Great website!

Amy: Thanks Sheri! Search my blog for 'ross pea pod' and you can read all about it! Thank you and best wishes!

Meet Jackson, 9 days old and just over 7 pounds. He looks just like his daddy too, but don’t we all at first? I love that! We had a wonderful time during his session and he was such a good baby for me! Here is a sneak peek of his session, enjoy!

Thanks R and A for letting me capture these memories!

This hammock, cocoon, and newboy cap all came from Anita on etsy, isn’t she amazing?

Lisbeth: Love the 'peacock' colors in that hat!

Katie Hollis: I am glad you are recovering well. So, how do you hang the hammock? A pullback shot of that would be cool to see! :)

Lisa: I can't even image how hard it is to get that hammock image. I attempted the sling baby image and it was so hard. You make it looks so easy. Have to agree with Lisbeth, I too, love the peacock colors.

It is such a gift to watch my clients grow and to see what amazing little people they become. Charlie is now 6 months old and still cute as ever! I had a great time getting to see him again after so long! Charlie was a preemie when he was born at 32 weeks. He has grown up soo much but he is still so tiny wearing 0-3 size clothing now! He is doing absolutely amazing! When I photographed him as a newborn, he was all ready 5+ weeks old if I recall correctly!! Amazing… isn’t it? Here is a sneak peek, enjoy!

Do you remember him as a newborn? Such a little cutie pie!

Courtney: Amy, what a cutie pie! The catchlights in that first shot are absolutely AMAZING!!!!!!!!!

Yvonne: So cute! Love seeing how much lil' one's change too!

Heather Hare..AKA..Charlies Mommy: LOVE THEM!! Cant wait to see the rest!!!

Sue Hare: (aka Charlie's Grandma) I love the newborn pictures of our precious grandson, and Amy, you've done it again. You've captured how wonderfully he has grown in the last 6 months, with his big blue eyes and sweet smile. We'll cherish these pictures for years to come.

Heather Hare..AKA..Charlies Mommy: Yes Amy your are correct!! Charlie was 5 weeks old when you did his new born session and he was almost 7lbs. then!! and yes it is AMAZING how much he has grown, he is now 14 lbs and growing!!! Thank you so much Amy!!!!!

I had the complete pleasure of meeting this amazing little guy. He was such a good baby and slept so peacefully. He was welcomed in to the world weighing 9 pounds 2 ounces!! He is the spitting image of his daddy and so easy going. Thank you so much E and T for letting me capture your precious baby boy! Congratulations to you, he is absolutely precious!
Love,
Amy

mandy: I am going to have another baby just so you can photograph it. I am serious! These are just SO amazing, and look at that hair. Wow girl...you just get better and better and better....it is clear that this is what you were born to do.

Anita: Oh Amy, he's a precious little chunker! Reminds me of my biggest baby, weighing in at 10 lbs 5oz. Just wanna squeeze him!

Amy: My babies were chunkers too and I kissed on their cheeks all day long! Asher was a complete sweetheart! I asked his mom and dad if I could keep him! haha

heather Bauers: He/he... gotta love that little face in the 3rd shot and what a great name!

Kim Cannon: What an adorable baby!!! (and of course great pics)
